Wheel of Fortune

As one of the longest-running game shows, 'Wheel of Fortune' has remained relevant through the years and it still pulls a considerable number of viewers decades after it began. Contestants solve puzzles and spin a carnival wheel which determines their prizes, making one rather enjoyable contest.

Hosts Pat Sajak and Vanna White have been running the show since it made its debut in 1975, and these two will go down history as game show legends for their efforts. If you've never watched this show, it's highly recommended; you'll love it!

Hollywood Squares

There is a reason 'Hollywood Squares' ranks among the greatest game shows, and in the entire duration, the show ran, its popularity never waned. We've never quite understood 'CBS's sudden decision to close curtains on it.

We mostly miss the celeb humor, especially the one-liners, which the show was never short of, and the fact that the program was family-friendly and perfect for those nights together. We might one day see its return, and although we aren't sure it will match those prior standards, the show will not be lack a doting audience!

Legends of the Hidden Temple

This is one show we all wish would return to our screens. It was a daily dose of adventure fantasy, with an action twist as teams navigated through a temple filled with numerous obstacles. The teams had two objectives; to lift the temple's curse, and hopefully, get away with their lives!

We aren't sure why it only ran for three seasons, but with rumors of a possible return, fans are abuzz with excitement. It's time to explore the spooky temples again. and unearth the hidden treasures. We can't wait for its return!

Concentration

How good are your concentration and memory? If they are any good, you'd be a star in this game show which ran from the '50s to the '90s.

It's easy to see why 'Concentration' was a hit, especially with the chidren's audience. It was created from a kids' game with the same name and the rules were almost similar - match the images on the squares and solve one final puzzle in your pursuit of glory. Like other game shows in this list, you can replicate 'Concentration' at home with friends or family if you get a little creative!

Shop 'Til You Drop

If there is a game show that should be rebooted, this is it! 'Shop 'Til You Drop' would be a sensation, especially in this age of online shopping!

How did it work? Couples were given a chance to battle it out for the shopping spree of their lives through trivia and other mini competitions. Who wouldn't want to shop till exhaustion anyway? The show made a good family pastime, especially if you were rooting for different couples, and for the 14 years it aired, there was never a dull moment!

Bowling for Dollars

Who wouldn't want to earn some money from bowling? This game show was played along that line, and the best bowlers would get cash rewards among other prizes.

A reboot would be awesome, given how widespread bowling has become, and the show will not be short of experts. After all, anyone who has gone bowling thinks they are the best in the game! If there is no rerun in the pipes, you can organize a trip to the bowling alley with your friends, and it will be just as fun if you have prizes to be won!

Think Fast

How about this game show which boggled both minds and bodies? The children's game show only aired for two seasons before coming to an end, and we have to admit, a lot of kids were left disappointed!

A reboot would be great news, as the red and blue teams mentally battled each other for the prize. In addition to mental tests, there were various other hurdles to be overcome which only added to the game's intensity. Kids would love a rerun of the show, and given how much the world has changed, 'Think Fast' would have enough material to cover!

Debt

Who wouldn't want a reboot of a game show that actually pays your debts? That's exactly what 'Debt' was all about, as contestants sought to offset their pending bills with proceeds from their winnings in the show.

The party only lasted two years before the show came to an end, and we must admit, it would be a hit especially with the current hard economic times. We all have a payment or two we'd want sorting, and what better way to do that, than while having some fun? Hands up if you want 'Debt' back on our screens!

Family Feud

There is a reason this game show has been running for over four decades! 'Family Feud' has been keeping viewers glued with the family rivalries that are settled through trivia, and the prizes up for grabs only up the stakes.

Veteran TV personality Steve Harvey is the longest host of this show, having been at the helm for about a decade now, and he is doing a terrific job at it. The ratings have never gone down over the period he's been the face of the show, and we must commend him for the feat. Then again, Harvey is one of the best in the game!

That's My Dog

What would you think about a game show where man's best friend competes for prizes? Well, that was precisely what the program 'That's My Dog!' was all about.

In the series, doggies competed with each other in a series of events and challenges, and the one that came out on top went home with tonnes of prizes for it, and it's family. We're not sure why this show got canceled, but we're confident that all of us would love to see talented puppies strutting their stuff on television once again!

Name That Tune

Although the show 'Name That Tune' was famous on radio in the fifties, its notoriety and fame increased when its television iteration saw the light in that same decade, and it remained a firm favorite for the next twenty years!

Contestants were chosen from the audience, and the goal was to identify a song in as few notes as possible. The more the band or orchestra had to play the song, the less money you'd win. We'd love to see a modernized version of this concept, as the amount of music available today would undoubtedly make for a spectacular challenge!

Remote Control

Do you remember when there were still things worth watching on the 'MTV' channel? Yes, you do, because there was plenty of great music and entertainment, like the game show 'Remote Control.'

In this series, which ran in the late eighties, three contestants competed against each other by answering pop culture questions. We think that this show deserves a reboot because it undoubtedly guarantees great competition on screen. You'd surely have to be a genius and a memory machine to keep track of everything going on in the world today!

Sale of the Century

One of the longest-running television gameshows, 'Sale of the Century,' was full of trivia-like questions where contestants would answer them to win cash, which they could, in turn, use to buy prizes that were inexpensive compared to the real world. The show ran for a couple of years since 1969, with the most recent series done in 2007.

If it ever comes back to our screens, we hope it will still have the drama and humor we all fell in love with back then. The decision between holding on to the cash or getting something big always keeps us at the edge of our seats, just thinking about it!

Win, Lose, or Draw

Playing Pictionary with your peers is fun but what will make it more fascinating is to see a couple of celebrities play it live on television. When this happens, we bet we will get to watch some hilarious truly answers, and some will win, while others will swallow the bitter pill of defeat!

While Jimmy Fallon has done it a couple of times on late-night television, it would be interesting to see which star is an impeccable artist and who is not. We hope it will come back as a fully-fledged game show in its own right!

1 vs. 100

Bob Saget mastered the art of balancing humor and witty remarks while hosting the '1 vs. 100' game show. A contestant had to beat one hundred people called 'The Mob' in trivia; once each member was out, the player won a certain amount of money.

Winning against one person is already hard enough; we can't imagine conquering 'The Mob.' The show regularly made for hilarious, thrilling contests, where we got to experience different emotions from heartbreak to joy. We would give anything to have this rollercoaster of a show back on our screens again!

Sports Jeopardy!

Modified from the popular trivia show 'Jeopardy!', 'Sports Jeopardy!' was a game show focused on sports trivia instead of general knowledge. Of all the classic show's iconic reboots, we would see a return to our screens is 'Rock n Roll Jeopardy!' for the music enthusiasts and the sports version for all the athletic trivia enthusiasts.

Most of us learned a lot from 'Sports Jeopardy!' It would be absolutely amazing to see another season of the game show. Dan Patrick did a great job hosting it the first time; it would not hurt to see him reprise the role.

Downfall

Sometimes having some silly things in your life adds to the joy of living, and 'Downfall was precisely that; silly and funny. While one played, any potential prizes they could have won would fall off the building, crashing down below.

We cannot imagine the magnitude of the mess left after each episode, but we would love to see this game show again. Such ridiculous ideas make for a great break in television show routines and put smiles on our faces. Having this action back for primetime one more time will be highly appreciated!

Ready...Set...Cook!

When you think about the super-fun cooking game shows of the 90s, ''Ready…Set…Cook'' will always come to mind! After a shocking debut in ''US Food Network'', the program quickly gained prominence and fanatic fans, thanks to the unique concept of self-shopping and exciting showdowns in each episode.

Nonetheless, we're only able to see the recordings today, as the show has been off-air for approximately two decades. Yet, if someone is eager to revive this program, we believe that the ratings and engagement levels will skyrocket once again. Just like in the past!

Card Sharks

Does anyone miss the epic card game show ‘Card Sharks’? Worry not, guys - the program has begun its production once more and will be ready to launch at the end of 2020 when the pandemic probably becomes more stable. Let’s hope that it will be just as exciting as the debut show!

Speaking of the original release, it was indeed mind-blowing. ‘Card Sharks’ offered money in a game based on luck and strategy, which was a fresh, progressive idea. No wonder the program’s rating ramped up high at that time and is no doubt set to make a triumphant return!

Weakest Link

Although the concept of the ‘Weakest Link’ quiz might be quite enticing, the true hero who made it famous was Anne Robinson. Her chatty and funny personality had unconsciously become the trademark of the game, and her fame probably even exceeded the program itself.

Unfortunately, the show had to put on temporary hold since Anne’s retirement in 2012, and it seemed that the producers were also reluctant to find a substitute. Well, it is a bit difficult to imagine ‘Weakest Link’ without the actress’s presence, yet it certainly doesn’t mean impossible!

Love Connection

While the world was chock full of great similar dating shows, 'Love Connection' came up with an exciting concept. Here, each episode would start with the candidate's introduction video before the audience tried to guess which contestant was the one the love-seeker actually dated. Yes, it was the combination of matchmaking and romantic prediction game!

Lifelong fans finally saw hope when 'Fox' TV station decided to reboot the program from the 2017-2018 seasons, yet, they didn't continue the production afterward. Maybe, the producers need more time to generate a more millennial-friendly idea to attract younger viewers.

Deal or No Deal

Believe it or not - 'Deal or No Deal' isn't the first program about the money-guessing game, as it was adopted from a Dutch TV program entitled 'Miljoenenjacht.' However, it was definitely the most famous version!

Despite the success of bringing loyal audiences, 'Deal or No Deal' had a long history of ownership. After starting the four-years voyage with 'NBC,' it switched sides to Syndicate before going to 'CNBC' for only a one-year contract. The program is currently on hiatus, waiting for another television station to revive it once again. Hopefully, someone will be interested in taking over soon!

Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?

'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire,' which was once the king of quiz games, has finally aired again on 'ABC' starting April 2020! With Jimmy Kimmel as the main host, it keeps the original concept of a $1 million prize while changing several of the smaller gameplay details.

Nonetheless, it is still unclear whether the show will be kept in production or not, as according to the station, this edition is created solely for a special 20th-anniversary celebration. Yet, if the program can successfully attract viewers, there are probabilities that they will continue to renew their contract for the next year. So, don't forget to watch it!

The Price Is Right

How well do you know the price of common items? You could try your hand in this game show if you're up to date with your price tags, and you might land yourself the prize of a lifetime!

Ever since this game show premiered in 1972, it has grown in popularity as contestants try to get the best out of the questions posed. Drew Carey has been the host for an impressive thirteen years, and with the show still booming in the present day, we will be seeing more of this talented host and even more eager contestants!
