Sticking It In Their Face

Maintaining their privacy is of utmost importance for many, whether on an elevator or not. To their dismay, most elevators have cameras for many different reasons. It's something a few people are yet to come to terms with, like this lady with red hair.

She stepped onto the elevator and noticed the camera almost immediately. She wasn't too pleased but held off from any action till she stopped. Once the doors opened, her gum was retrieved and was used to cover the lens. We guess she had just about had it with these darn cams everywhere. Sadly, someone will peel the gun off, and it's business as usual.

Prank Gone Wrong

It's a typical day, and you need to go up a building. One would take the elevator, not expecting anything to happen, right? Well, this lady got what may have been the biggest scare of her life. She was on the phone and got into the elevator just like every other day, only for what seemed to be the worst experience ever.

The elevator began to move pretty fast, and the woman was at a loss for what to do. It was only a prank, and she eventually got to her stop, thankfully in one piece. It must have been quite an intense moment for her.

No Time To Waste

Pranks don't always get laughter out of their pranks, and this man learned this the hard way. He put his foot at intervals to stop the elevator doors from closing, but he was not the only one affected by this as he was in the elevator with a woman. Yet, he did not care as he continued for about two minutes.

After waiting for him to stop, this woman ran out of patience and sent him out of the lift. She did just the right thing, in many people's opinion. Nobody should have to cause another person an inconvenience just for a few laughs.

Elevator Art

Vandalism of public property may be a punishable offense, but these girls were not about to let it stop them. Instead of using the elevator the way regular people do, these ladies decided to use it as a form of art expression. 

They spray-painted a heart sign on the wall of the elevator. They probably thought no one would see them since they were all alone. Unfortunately, they did not realize that there was a hidden security camera watching their every move. We don't know if the girls got into trouble, but it was all their fault if they did.

Dancing Into Retirement

Staying on the job can be quite stressful for law enforcement officers. They need to find ways of relieving themselves of the pressure, and some like Tony Schwab here like to shake it off. The El Paso County Deputy Sheriff provided the much-needed comic relief for his colleagues and millions of people on the internet.

His dancing video went viral and earned him the nickname the dancing deputy. It was reported that he was dancing to the famous song "Watch Me" by Silentó. Scherb was set to retire, and his move was a great way to complete his time in the force.

Elevators Want Shoes Too

While there are statistics to show how many times people get stuck in elevators yearly, we could not find any for how many times shoes get stuck in there. It may seem that elevators have been running a low-key shoe stealing venture, and this woman was the latest victim.

She seemed to have gotten her shoe jammed in the transport machine's shaft. She had to go down on her knees to get it out because her shoes would not budge. Despite this, we doubt that the bureau of statistics will be adding the number of shoes that get stuck in this confined space to any list of elevator facts.

A Good Way To Unwind The Day's Stress

Considering the fact that the elevator is in some ways similar to a dance studio in terms of the square space and mirrors, or in this case, reflective walls. Understandably, sometimes we'll lose ourselves to the groove while in there. It makes even more sense if the ride is accompanied by some music.

So this lady taking a lift in what seems to be the Florida State University Basketball Facility must have succumbed to showing a few dance steps without knowing there was a camera up there. Who would blame her, though? She did seem to be having a swell time, though.

Can This Ride Just End?

Although a standard elevator ride through one floor of a building reportedly takes 8 to 10 seconds, those few seconds could sometimes be the longest time you've ever had to wait if you're stuck in some bizarre situation in the lift.

The lady in a maroon jacket must be wishing the ride would end already. We have no idea what her day was like before the ride, but it seemed she would have preferred a more peaceful time in the lift than what she was left to deal with. While she gave her co-passenger the cold shoulder, she couldn't wait to get off.

Taking The Obstruction Out Of The Way

At first glance, we can tell the lady in black was not having one of her greatest moments. Maybe she had things that needed to be done or was just running late to a salon appointment and needed to get there as soon as possible. Well, at least before this unavoidable situation.

The man was reportedly fidgeting with the control buttons of the elevator when the lady lost her cool and went at him. She probably felt he was wasting her precious time or that he was hindering her plans for the day. Either way, she wasn't taking any of it and went straight for him.

 The Best Performance Yet

Maybe this woman is enjoying the thrill felt after a good morning jogging around the block or just having a good day; she sure has a spectacular way of expressing it. With music blasting in her ears while freely singing her heart out alongside the melody, she gave what could be called one of the most interesting solo performances in an elevator.

Whilst we have no idea what got her in such an elated mood, it must have been good enough for her to make her give such a performance of a lifetime. The security personnel behind the camera must have had quite the show.

 

An Overelaborate Show of Affection

Elevator pranks have been taken to a whole new level. A YouTube channel hired actors to play out quite the raunchy scene on the elevator just to get the reaction of the other passengers. We see the female actor kissing the man in black deeply without the care of others in the elevator.

While the people in question couldn't care less, the other passengers are trying hard not to look in their direction. The guy in front looks oblivious to what may be going on, but the woman in the jacket finds it quite uncomfortable while making her call.

Caught in The Elevator Doors

Pet owners seemingly like to take their pets everywhere with them. It's fine, and most establishments seem to allow it, so why not. But, it's easy to get carried away with activities that owners forget to properly tend to their pets, like this dog. While going in with its owner, the leash got caught between the elevator doors, and up the little pup went.

Thankfully this man came to the rescue and quickly swung into action, cutting the dog loose. It was a close one, and we can't imagine what would have been of the little pup if not for this Good Samaritan close by.

The Scary Elevator Butler

Taking an elevator makes some people very anxious. Some hotels and other places employ people to welcome guests on the elevator and help them, making them feel more relaxed. This butler went a bit further, covering his face and scaring the living daylight out of the passenger.

Being greeted by such a figure must have been terrifying. The doors had closed on him before the young man noticed his co-passenger and had enough time to react. Not knowing what to expect, he stayed glued to one corner. It must have been quite the experience for him as this is the stuff of nightmares for many people.

An Error In Calculation

Transporting sensitive and fragile materials like glass can be very difficult. For these workers, they learned a valuable lesson on measurements while transporting this glass. They got to the elevator, ready to put the glass in and make their way to their desired floor.

However, they miscalculated the length of the glass and couldn't fit it in on time before the elevator doors were shut. You can imagine what happened next. The glass snapped in half and eventually crumbled to the floor. It must have been painful to watch as that was time and effort wasted. Thankfully, glass can be recycled, so that probably wasn't a total waste.

 

Wondering What Came Over Him

Strangers taking the elevator often like to get to their destination in silence. However, our young friend here thought he could fill the silence while creating some entertainment. He probably wanted to practice some of his robotic dance moves as he slowly started moving to the music in his head.

The older gentleman stared in amazement, wondering what may have come over him. Not sure what was going on, he simply gazed at the young man with a disapproving look on his face. He didn't say a word and rode in silence until he got to his floor, probably happy to escape that awkward moment.

 

The Police Know How To Have Fun too

The police force shows that they are equally as entertaining as they are concerned with safety. These brave men and women protect lives and property and show us that they know how to groove and have some fun. In the clip shared, the officers were seen making beats with their hands, drumming on the walls, and clapping.

It must have felt terrific to finally get off the clock and get some much-needed relaxation time. Since officers are usually on an eight or 12 hours shift. What better way to unwind than creating some music with colleagues and heading to the local bar?

 

Not Funny, Dude

This is yet another prank gone wrong for this young man. He stepped onto the elevator, albeit unknown to him; it had been rigged. He pushed the button for the floor he'd like to get off on and waited for the cart to move. Suddenly it started moving too fast until it grounded to a halt on his floor.

Now, he looked at the other guy with an expression that said, 'what just happened?' Unfortunately, this was yet another prank for some YouTuber to post on their channel. They got the footage for their audience to laugh, sadly at his expense.

The Invasion

A few people decided to dress up as Stormtroopers for whatever event they were going for. They even had someone dressed up as Darth Vader, which was cool until they started dancing wildly.

The man who had been in the elevator seemed perplexed and scared even of what was going on while he made his call. Now, "Star Wars" fans would not have minded the company, but it was a terrifying experience for this man. We commend the man for seemingly keeping it together and probably not calling the police on these Stormtroopers while at it.

 

As Much Space As Possible

We meet different types of people inside elevators daily. Some people have found love in them, but this older man found a young man facing the wall in an elevator instead. It looked like he was having a bad day, so the older man asked what was wrong, but he got no response. 

It seems that all this man wanted was his space. Fun fact, if the elevator had been crowded, this man's behavior wouldn't have been weird at all. A University of Chicago Professor,  Dario Maestripieri, revealed that people do everything they can to avoid interacting if an elevator is crowded.

Much Needed Education

At first glance, it's easy to be tempted to scream at the man in this photo for being a creep because he looks like yet another man trying to take advantage of a woman in an elevator, but that's not the case. This is a screenshot from a video uploaded to YouTube.

The video is titled "How To Know If Your Girlfriend Is Crazy," and it has 4.5 million views. It seems this man and woman were only trying to do their bit to prevent people from ending up with undesirable partners. Judging from the comments, they also made people laugh.

Get Out Now!

One in every 100,000 elevator rides gets stuck. These are not very alarming statistics, but if you've seen many Hollywood scenes where the elevator got stuck, trapping people inside, you'd understand how scary those odds are. 

This man was trapped in an elevator for 2 hours. This was an undoubtedly terrifying experience, but that was not all. When the doors finally opened, there was a concrete wall blocking his exit, so he punched a hole in the wall so he could climb through. After that, he squeezed himself into the hole. Thankfully, he managed to get help, so he got out.

Disco Ride

Elevators may be small, but they are still public spaces nonetheless, so we often cannot control what others do in them. We don't doubt that these disco dancers would not be in the elevator if this woman could have had any say.

She had been waiting for the elevator for a while, and when it eventually arrived, it was full of people, and they were dancing in it. She moved quickly to the other door to try and see if she could hitch another ride. We don't know if she had a thing against the dancing or the disco clothes they had.

 

Slippery Slope

People use elevators to transport themselves from one floor of a building to another, but it seems some people have found another use for the machine. Unfortunately, this woman found that out the hard way.

The elevator she got into had a trap door hidden inside, so when she got in, she began tumbling down onto a plastic sheet that appeared to be covered in slippery goo. Then she found out she had only been part of an elaborate prank for a Japanese game show. We can only imagine how terrifying this experience must have been for her.

41 Hours Long

Imagine being stuck in a small box for just minutes. It must be terrifying, right? This man wasn't just stuck in an elevator for minutes; he was there for 41 hours. All he had wanted was a break to smoke cigarettes, but he got stuck in this small space for days.

Most psychologists advise people to stay calm in situations like this, but we imagine that after not getting out in under an hour, this man's capacity to be calm had run out. Sped-up footage of the incident later went viral, but we doubt the man in the video enjoyed reliving the incident.

A Bubble A Day Keeps The Brain Alert

Chewing gum is an activity many like, and this man is undoubtedly enjoying it too. However, just chewing was not enough for him. He explored other pleasures from the gum by blowing it. While some people regard this as uncouth, others find it quite a fun activity. That's probably why this man opted to do it while he was alone. Unfortunately, he was unaware of the elevator camera.

Fun fact about gums, chewing them helps people concentrate and helps in the improvement of long-term and working memory. However, we doubt that's why this man is chewing gum.

Gotta Have Some Too

Food delivery has got to be the most tempting job of all time. Imagine smelling an amazing aroma, only to give the food to someone else to enjoy. This Domino's Pizza delivery man wasn't going to have another day of giving out food, so instead, he scrapped off a customer's pizza toppings to eat.

Disgusting right? No one wants a stranger eating off of their food. As a result, this incident did not go down well with many people and, obviously the customer involved as well. However, we can't tell if the customer sued the company or the delivery man for this.

 

Umbrella Fiasco

Some people have had traumatic experiences in elevators, and this Chinese boy is one of them. He tried to hold the elevator door open for his dad, but instead, he got stuck in the elevator. He held the standby button with his finger when he decided to use his umbrella as a door stopper. 

Instead of stopping the doors from closing, the umbrella handle got stuck, and the elevator stopped working, so he was trapped inside. He was there for a while, but fortunately, he was rescued. We can only hope this experience did not mar elevator usage for him.

Moonwalking Out Of Here

When you've got great moves, it's understandable that you'd find it difficult to stop yourself from breaking out in some dance moves, even when you're in an elevator. We don't know what song this man was listening to, but we can tell that it was pretty groovy from his dance moves. 

Judging from the moonwalk he did before leaving the elevator, it could be a Micheal Jackson song. Although he was alone in the elevator, we can tell that even if he was not, that would not have stopped him. Fun fact about moonwalks; they were not created by Michael Jackson but by dancer and musician Jeffrey Daniel.

Mortal Kombat Mode

Now, this is hilarious. YouTuber Yousef Erakat decided to dress up in a "Mortal Kombat" costume to prank this woman in an elevator. When she first got in, she was expectedly surprised. However, that surprise soon turned to fear when Erakat started to show off some moves.

To make matters worse, the sound effects that accompanied his actions astounded the woman, causing her to flip out. Her reaction is quite normal, given the situation. Fun fact about "Mortal Kombat;" it took six months to develop a name for the game. It was worth it, though, as they landed on the perfect name.

Something Too Scary For Words

Elevators are simple machines. They take you up and down, and there is nothing scary about that, so we can't explain why these people look so horrified in this elevator. One theory is that the elevator had a malfunction, so they got scared.

Another theory is that they found themselves facing something genuinely horrifying when the doors opened. What that thing could be is what we don't know, but judging from the man's crouch and the woman's opened mouth, we can tell that it's something they have never seen before. A secret floor in their building that's haunted, perhaps?

A Beekeeper's Prank

A bee sting is known to be quite painful, and those with an allergic reaction to a bee sting could be prone to a more severe health risk. As such, it's understandable the man in the blue shirt wanted to be as far away from the beekeeper as possible.

Regrettably, he couldn't get far enough, considering the elevator's confined space. His thoughts at that moment would have been to be anywhere but there with the beekeeper. Though it turned out to be just a prank by his co-passenger, he might have needed some time to recover mentally from the situation.

Cat In An Elevator

Cats are smart, with a human IQ of about 7-10. But, considering the control buttons on an elevator are placed about two to three feet off the floor level, maybe to prevent situations like this or keep children from tampering with them, we have no idea how this cat made it through without the help of others.

It might be smart enough to take itself out for a walk around the block, effortlessly navigate the building without a guardian, or even play cute enough for someone not to call animal control. But, getting into the elevator unassisted would have been no small feat.

Elevator Surprise

One look at this picture, and you would assume this man got himself into a pretty rough spot. Especially considering the fact that being in an elevator among masked men is no good way to start one's day.

With the look on his face, he probably felt the same way too. At that moment, if given a choice to go back in time and change his decision to take that particular lift, he'd probably take it. But, as luck would have it, it was just a surprise prank as the supposed robbers began singing the 1978 piece by Gloria Gaynor, "I Will Survive."

Guess Where This Is Heading

Some couples like to use a few minutes on an elevator to express their affections for each other in interesting ways. For this couple, they were seen getting handsy with each other, but they stopped just in time to get off.

They caught themselves just in time after realizing they were not alone and that the elevator cam must be capturing the moment. They got to their stop and got off as expected, but something happened shortly after. Did something happen between the two love birds, or was it too good to be true from the start? We wouldn't know until we see the footage that comes after.

A Broken Heart

Remember the couple that was getting handsy with each other but stopped just in time? Yeah, the elevator can capture the woman coming out shortly after she gets off with her partner. They looked cozy in the previous footage, but we guess there was more to the story.

It looks like there was trouble in paradise as she is even sobbing while she tries to get on the elevator. The footage doesn't get a glimpse of her partner as it seems he didn't see her off. What transpired behind closed doors remains unknown, but hopefully, she wasn't physically hurt.

A Connection Too Strong To Hide

People know that the honeymoon phase can be the most exciting phase for most couples. It's hard for these couples to keep their hands to themselves at times, like this pair in the elevator. You could tell from a glance they were so into each other. The woman was feeling giddy but managed to contain herself until they were alone in the elevator.

It wasn't long before they were staring into each other's eyes and ready to lock lips. Unfortunately, they didn't know they were under the watchful eye of the elevator cam. A few more minutes and they could have saved the intimacy for the bedroom.

Love In The Air

A kiss on a lady's hand is a gesture of courtesy and respect that has lived through the 17th and 18th centuries among noble men and women. It is considered to be both lovely and adorable. So, when this kid went on his knees and planted a kiss on the little girl's hand, we are sure the man behind the camera had a smile on his face.

While the two in question were pretty occupied with each other, the third kid was wise enough to remember they were in an elevator and reminded them to be mindful of the elevator cam.

Finally Made it!!

If there's one thing familiar about this picture, it's the excitement on her face. We've all experienced it one time or the other. Either from finally scoring that big shot appointment or qualifying for a long-anticipated promotion at work. You always want those precious five seconds alone to clench your fist, make a little jump of celebration, and scream, Yes!

That must have been this lady's story. Maybe she got a date with the hot guy around the block or finally got that raise she asked for at work. Either way, she seems excited because, with that smile and clenched fists, there's just the jump left.

Are You Thinking What I'm Thinking?

Communicating without having to say a word to your lover must be a lovely superpower. For this couple, the woman could send signals to her partner without any words, and he got the message loud and clear. From the look on her face, we can also guess what she's thinking.

A little more discretion, and it may have been a little hard to tell what they were up to. Since it was caught on camera, the internet and millions of people were also privy to their thoughts. We only hope they at least waited to be in the confines of their room.

The First Bite

Although most food delivery companies send their client's meals sealed to prevent situations like this one, you can never be truly sure your food was not tampered with. Take this picture, for instance; this delivery man figured it was no big deal to take a quick bite of the delivery package.

Maybe he was hungry while on duty or just wanted to have the first bite of the food. Regardless, he forgot there was a camera in the elevator capturing him while he did his thing. He was in for a terrible review if either his boss or whoever received the package saw this picture.
